WHAT IS PHYSIOTHERAPY?

‘Physiotherapy is a physical medicine and rehabilitation that remediates impairments and promotes mobility, function and quality of life through examination, diagnosis, prognosis and physical interventions’.

Physiotherapy aims to stimulate the body's own healing process to restore pain free movement and full function of joints, muscles and nerves following an injury, illness or disability.

What is a Physiotherapist?

Physiotherapists assess and treat musculoskeletal conditions which cause pain,

joint stiffness and muscle weakness, through the use of manual therapy techniques, movement and exercise programme plus education and advice.
